Nir Giladi, M.D., is the Chairman of the Department of Neurology at Tel Aviv Sourasky Medical Center (TASMC) in Tel Aviv Israel since 2007, and an associate Professor of Neurology at the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv University.

Prof. Giladi graduated from Ben Gurion University School of Medicine in Beer Sheba in 1983 and received his postgraduate training in neurology at Carmel Medical Center, in Haifa, Israel. He did his fellowship in Movement Disorders at the Neurological Institute of Columbia University in New York, under the supervision of Prof. Stanley Fahn (1989-1991) and then returned to Israel to open the Parkinson Clinic at Carmel Medical Center in Haifa. In 1996 he was appointed as the director of the Movement Disorder Unit at TASMC which under his supervision, has been recognized at 2005 as a National Parkinson Foundation International Center of Excellence.

Prof. Giladi has served as a member of the International Executive Committee of the Movement Disorders Society (2003-2006) and is on the board of the WHO Study Group on Parkinson's Disease since 2003. Prof. Giladi published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has received the Israeli Ministry of Health and the TASMC, General Director’s awards for excellence in Medical Care as the Director of the Movement Disorders Unit, and the Tel Aviv University Sackler Faculty of Medicine award for ‘Excellence in Teaching’. He currently leads the clinical branch of the studies about genetics in Ashkenazi Jews patients with Parkinson's disease in TASMC.
