Rachel Saunders-Pullman MD, MPH, MS

Associate Professor of Neurology
Albert Einstein College of Medicine

Dr. Saunders-Pullman is a clinical researcher whose focus is the study of genetic and epidemiologic factors relating to Parkinson’s disease and dystonia, in particular the development of predictors and markers of disease. After graduating summa cum laude from Amherst College, she received her medical and public health training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She was a Resident and Chief Resident at the Neurological Institute at Columbia, and completed Movement Disorder and Neuroepidemiology Fellowships at Columbia. She has been at Beth Israel and Einstein since 1998, has conducted multiple research projects, and has been funded by the National Institutes of Health for study of gender and hormones in early PD and aging. She is on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Dystonia Medical Research Foundation, the Executive Committee of the Dystonia Study Group, the Biomarkers Committee of the Parkinson’s Study Group, and was elected to the American Neurological Association.
