Mark Booth

Retired Chairman and CEO • NetJets Europe

Mark Booth joined the Board of Directors of The Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2011. He is a veteran media and aviation industry executive. He was the chairman and CEO of NetJets Europe from 2001 to 2009, based in London.

Previously, Mr. Booth worked in a variety on senior executive roles including founding CEO of MTV Europe (1986-1988), based in London, and founding CEO of Foxtel (1994-1997; a joint venture between News Corporation and Telstra), based in Sydney, Australia.

Mr. Booth was CEO of BSkyB, based in London, from 1997-1999, where he oversaw the launch of Sky Digital. He was the architect of the "free box" strategy, credited with re-energizing the company. He was general partner of epartners, an early stage venture capital firm from 1999 to 2001.

Mr. Booth worked for MTV Networks in the U.S. from 1980 to 1986 in a variety of capacities, culminating as VP of affiliate sales and marketing.

Mr. Booth earned a BA from the University of Kansas in 1978. He serves on a number of different boards, including the Serpentine Gallery, London. He and his wife Lauren have six children and live in rural Connecticut.
