Ofer Nemirovsky

Ofer Nemirovsky joined the Board of Directors of The Michael J. Fox Foundation in 2015. He is currently a senior advisor providing input on firm strategy, investments and other matters at HarbourVest Partners, which he joined in 1986 and where he served as a managing director through 2014.

During his 29-year tenure with HarbourVest, he concentrated on direct co-investments and pioneered the direct team’s early focus on software companies. He co-led the team for many years and was responsible for numerous successful investments, including Artisoft, AVID, AXENT, Centra, Clarus, Creo, Dendrite International, Digital Insight, eTapestry, Frame, Gilead, Insignia Solutions, Manugistics, Marcam, m-Qube, NETCOM On-Line, Progress Software, Radware, Retix, Shopzilla, SpectraLink, Ultimate Software, and UUNET. He was also instrumental in business development and accessing new sources of capital around the world.

Mr. Nemirovsky’s previous experience includes four years in technical computer sales and marketing with Hewlett-Packard. 

He received a BS in Electrical Engineering and a BS in Finance from the University of Pennsylvania in 1980 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1986. Mr. Nemirovsky serves or has served on the Boards of the National Venture Capital Association, the African Wildlife Foundation and the Institute of Contemporary Art. He is a Trustee of the University of Pennsylvania.
