What is Make-A-Will Month?

Make-A-Will Month is a national campaign held annually in August. Its purpose is to raise awareness about the importance of having a will and to encourage people to create or update their wills.

Make-A-Will Month exists because:

  • Wills provide peace of mind: Having a will ensures your wishes are honored and recognized, reducing stress and potential conflict for loved ones.
  • Wills are easier than you think: The process of creating a will can be simpler and more affordable than many people realize.

Leave a Lasting Legacy

Jeff and Connie Jacobs’ lives were changed when Jeff’s father, John, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Jeff became his primary caregiver, and a few years later, Connie was diagnosed with PD as well. With another loved one diagnosed with PD, Jeff began looking for ways to contribute to research. That was when Jeff and Connie decided to include a bequest to The Michael J. Fox Foundation in their trust, ensuring that their legacy is finding a cure for others.
