A clinical trial site in Boca Raton is about to join the Foundation’s PPMI study, and already, the site is getting media coverage. MJFF CEO Todd Sherer, PhD, spoke with the Sun Sentinel following a research symposium in South Florida, which was attended by more than 200 people. The presentation was led by Dr. Sherer and Dr. Stuart H. Isaacson, medical director of the Parkinson's Research and Education Foundation in Boca. "We have medicines to treat the symptoms, but that's not enough,” Sherer told the paper. “We are trying to get medicines to slow the progression. Our goal is to accelerate the whole process." http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/palm-beach/boca-raton/fl-brf-parkinson-1214-20111214,0,6923611.story
