Two of Jerry Ratner’s passions include exercising and his dog, Winnie. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease five years ago, Jerry has become a proponent for exercise as a way to keep PD symptoms at bay. His daily routine includes a morning workout as well as a 2.5 mile walk with Winnie, weather permitting. He recently joined Team Fox because he wants to support the Foundation’s mission in his own unique way.
In an effort to raise funds for research, promote an active lifestyle and help give abandoned dogs new homes, Jerry has teamed up with Almost Home Dog Rescue of New Jersey (AHDRNJ) to host the area’s first annual Dog Walk for Parkinson’s Exercise on Sunday, October 14th in Hillsdale, NJ.
Join Jerry, AHDRNJ, and sponsors Purina Pro Plan Rally to Rescue for a day of fun for the whole family (dogs included). There is a minimum pledge of $25 to participate. Activities include contents for you and your pet, opportunities to adopt an animal in need, and much more. Visit their event page for more information.
