The Michael J. Fox Foundation's flagship biomarkers study, the Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI), is currently taking place at 32 sites all over the world. The Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Center of Boca Raton is one of those sites. On March 1, 2014, over 15,000 people descended on the Boca Raton Health and Wellness Expo and PPMI's Boca team was on hand to spread the word about the study and recruit volunteers. All in all, over 45 people from the Expo approached the Boca PPMI site to get involved in the study, a huge boon to PPMI's ongoing recruitment efforts.
