A crowd of more than 1000 descended upon the Phoenix Convention Center last Saturday morning to attend the Davis Phinney Victory Summit. It was a packed agenda focused on how to live well with Parkinson’s Disease today. Topics covered everything from managing non-motor symptoms to the importance of social capital.
Outside the main hall, exhibitors provided materials about programs and services available to PD patients and their loved ones. The Fox Foundation was there letting attendees know about Fox Trial Finder and the incredible value of participating in research.
Researchers provided more in-depth presentations during afternoon breakout sessions, providing attendees the opportunity to ask questions of the experts. Dr. Charles Adler of the Mayo Clinic gave a research update talk to a group of about 50 and answered questions about the Arizona Parkinson’s Disease Consortium and the brain and body donation program.
The next Victory Summit will be held in Minneapolis, MN, stay tuned to their website for a date and other details. You can Learn more about the Davis Phinney Victory Summit in Phoenix, and view the presentations here.
