Saturday, June 13 marks the 6th Annual Pedaling 4 Parkinson’s Ride in beautiful Denver, CO – and registration is now open! New this year, participants will be able to choose from three different distances – a 10-mile loop, a metric century ride (62 miles) or a full century (100 miles) – which provides great options for the whole family! Additionally, through a return partnership with the Tandem Bike Project, riders with Parkinson’s will once again have the option of being matched with experienced cyclists to ride in tandem, providing a unique opportunity for participation.
In the years since Pedaling 4 Parkinson’s was founded, event organizers Lauren Williams, Jackie Williams and Laura Fiske, dubbed “34Fighting,” have built this event from the ground up while donating all proceeds from the ride—nearly $125,000 thus far!—to The Michael J. Fox Foundation. The trio hopes to surpass last year’s $60,000 fundraising total and believes that with this year’s additions they’ll be able to do just that. “Our dedicated team of volunteers is already hard at work to ensure this is the best Pedaling 4 Parkinson’s yet,” said Jackie, adding “as always, there will be a live band, lunch, beer garden, giveaways, family activities and more!”
Register today and take advantage of early-bird rates now through February 12. All riders are required to fundraise $150 before the ride – all of which will go straight to funding Parkinson’s research! Whether you join as an individual or create a team, save the date and plan to join Team Fox in pedaling for Parkinson’s research on June 13!
