All of us at The Michael J. Fox Foundation (MJFF) are inspired each day by the incredible dedication of our Team Fox members. No matter the size of your event or total dollars raised, we value your efforts to help speed a cure for Parkinson’s.
On April 1, Team Fox hosted its annual MVP Awards Celebration in New York City — this year at a new location, The Conrad New York Downtown. With members arriving from all over the United States, the evening was once again an exciting reunion for many and a cherished opportunity for members, new and old, to connect with peers, mentors, MJFF staff and friends.
As the sun set beautifully over the Battery Park and guests looked out over the Hudson River, the evening featured an array of voices including Nelle Fortenberry, Film Director and MJFF Board Member, longtime Team Fox member Bill Bucklew and MJFF Board Chairman Skip Irving who introduced the inaugural Legacy of Impact Award to the Woods Family and New England Parkinson’s Ride for 15 years of fundraising and surpassing $10M raised for Parkinson’s research. The top ten fundraising events in 2022 were also recognized for their outstanding fundraising achievements. Additional awards were given to select community members, recognizing the growth and impact of Team Fox. Photos from the evening, including top fundraisers and award recipients, can be found here.
Many thanks to all who were able to join, and to all our Team Fox members who contributed to helping Team Fox raise over $11.5 million in 2022. With 250 guests in attendance, the evening was an incredible reminder for many of the power harnessed through optimism, community and an unwavering can-do spirit.
