We caught up with Team Fox member Nathan Kamp to chat about his 2nd Annual “Ready, Set, Live” event happening in NYC on October 25th at Le Cirque. Read more below!

What are you most excited about?

I can't believe it's been a year already and it's time for the 2nd annual Ready, Set, Live! I'm excited that I can be a part of raising both funds and awareness for a cause that is near and dear to my heart. My best friend's father and a good friend’s brother were both diagnosed [with Parkinson's] a few years ago and for me it became a personal challenge to do something. Things get done when regular people stand up and do something, and that's what this event is all about, doing something! Giving back what we can, when we can and how we can. I'm excited to be actively working to make a difference.

Why is it called Ready, Set, Live?  

It's about getting on with living no matter what the circumstance, no matter what the diagnosis, no matter what is going on each day-- we wake up and we live. We are thankful for the moments that we can share with loved ones and family.

Can you give us details on the event?

Last year, we were able to raise $15,000 for Team Fox, a number which we are excited to build upon this year. We'll return once again to New York's famed Le Cirque restaurant for a cocktail reception with all donations going to The Michael J. Fox Foundation. The night will feature amazing Le Cirque hors d’oeurves, open bar, music and a silent auction. This is an opportunity to not only raise awareness and money but we also get to have a great time.
