No matter what their age, Team Fox members are always finding new ways to get involved in the Foundation's efforts to help speed a cure. Read more about several new groups--the Team Fox Young Professionals--in the MJFF Winter 2011 newsletter.

The Team Fox Young Professionals (YPs) were established in New York, San Francisco and Chicago in response to the growing number of 20- and 30-somethings who wanted to support the Foundation’s mission. While a personal connection to Parkinson’s disease inspired many of the founding members, the groups have expanded to include those who haven’t been directly impacted by PD but want to help speed a cure. Said founding member of the New York YPs Loren Berger: “Both within the YPs and beyond our group, our greatest success has been raising awareness among a demographic that may not know much about Parkinson’s. The terrific thing about the YPs is the diverse array of viewpoints that all come together in support of a common cause.”
With more than 100 members in New York, San Francisco and Chicago, the YPs plan a variety of fun and creative fundraising events throughout the year. Collectively, they have raised over $32,000 for Parkinson’s research. Team Fox hopes to expand to other cities and launch a YP group in Boston. Anyone can join or start their own group, so contact teamfox@michaeljfox.org to learn more.
