The Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) is MJFF's flagship biomarkers study. Taking place at 32 sites around the world, PPMI seeks to identify one or more biomarkers of Parkinson's disease to ultimately diagnose and even treat PD earlier in its progression.

Dr. Samuel Frank is the principal investigator at PPMI's Boston University site. Today he visited NECN television studios in New England to discuss Parkinson's, PPMI and the early PD symptom smell loss.
