This spring, the Parkinson’s Progression Markers Initiative (PPMI) finished enrolling 600 individuals (400 newly diagnosed Parkinson’s patients and 200 controls) whose blood, spinal fluid, urine and brain images are already beginning to provide scientists with key insights into the search for a biomarker for PD.

Following the successful recruitment of the original study, PPMI is now expanding.
