Currently CTO of Datance Inc., Dr. Alireza Goudarzi began his academic career in machine learning research in 2008 and received his PhD in 2016 from the University of New Mexico for his work on “The Theory and Application of Excitable Dynamics,” where he contributed to the theoretical and practical foundations of a class of neural networks known for their efficient training mechanism. He has been a contractor for the US National Smart Grid Project. In 2014, he developed an AI-based software for intelligibility assessment in Parkinson’s disease. In 2015, he co-founded a company that was accepted as part of the Plug&Play program in Silicon Valley. He currently holds an advising position at the City University of Seattle and mentors a range of start-up companies supported by Deepcore and Zeroth.AI.
