Amy Jo Bastian, PT, PhD, is a neuroscientist and physical therapist who studies the neural control of human movement. Her general interests are in cerebellar function, motor learning, walking and reaching control. The current goal of Dr. Bastian’s work is to understand the mechanisms of human motor deficits from damage to the brain and understand how to optimize motor learning and recovery. She also has experience studying people with Parkinson’s disease and is interested in understanding how cerebellar dysfunction affects these individuals.
