Dr. Ann Murray is an associate professor at West Virginia University’s Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute. She also currently serves as director of the Comprehensive Movement Disorder Clinic. She trained at West Virginia University and joined the faculty in 2016, when she took on a role as director of the student clerkship and co-director for the medical neurobiology course. In 2017, she helped launch the Comprehensive Movement Disorders Clinic and became the clinic director. Along with these clinical and academic roles, Dr. Murray has been very active in research, partnering with clinical drug trials as well as translational research through the Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute. Her current ongoing research includes utilizing deep brain stimulation technology to treat opioid addiction as well as using MRI-guided, focused ultrasound therapy for tremor management, opioid use disorder and Alzheimer’s disease.
