Dr. Brittany Krzyzanowski is a geographer and assistant professor at Barrow Neurological Institute, where she leads the geospatial research section of the Neuroepidemiology Program. Her research focuses on the identification of novel environmental risk factors of neurodegenerative disease using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and spatial statistics to analyze population-based epidemiological data. Dr. Krzyzanowski has developed innovative geographic methods by combining regionalization approaches with artificial neural networks to better explore human health data. She has extensive experience with spatial analysis, geostatistics, cluster detection and use of publicly available nationwide environmental exposure data to provide insight into nationwide and region-specific associations.
