Chien-Chi Huang is founder and executive director of Asian Women for Health (AWFH) and a bilingual (Chinese/English) health educator with strong ties in Asian American communities and a passion for health equity. She formed the Asian Breast Cancer Project and AWFH after her own experience as a breast cancer survivor. As a community partner and founding member of ADAPT (Addressing Disparities in Asian Populations through Translational Research), a community-academic partnership based at Tufts Medical Center, Chien-Chi has extensive experience in community-engaged research and community-based program and training. She has participated in several community-based participatory research trainings and received grants from organizations such as the American Psychological Association, Susan G. Komen Massachusetts and Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation. She is a highly lauded community educator and advocate and was on the first health disparities review panel for PCORI, in recognition of her role in supporting collaborations between academia and community-based organizations.
