Chris Van den Haute received his Masters in Biology (zoölogy) in 1993 at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). After his master thesis, he joined the Laboratory for Experimental Genetics and Transgenesis (Prof. Fred Van Leuven) to obtain a PhD in Medical Science in 2001 at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium). During his studies, he focused on the generation of transgenic pre-clinical models for Alzheimer’s disease.
In 2002 he joined the Laboratory of Neurobiology and Gene Therapy (Prof. Veerle Baekelandt) to become a post-doctoral researcher. Since 2009, he has held a position as research expert where he is involved in the development of new technologies for the lab.
