Christopher Bishop, PhD, completed doctoral and postdoctoral studies at Wayne State University in the departments of psychology and anatomy and cell biology, respectively. In 2005, he joined the Behavioral Neuroscience Program within the department of psychology at Binghamton University, a doctorate-granting institution of the State University of New York. Throughout this time, Dr. Bishop has focused on using pre-clinical models of Parkinson’s disease to identify translational approaches for improved treatment of motor and non-motor symptoms. The Bishop laboratory has maintained funding through generous public, private and industry grants. Dr. Bishop regularly serves as a panel member and reviewer for federal and private foundations.
