Christopher Bishop, PhD, completed his doctoral and postdoctoral work at Wayne State University in the Departments of Psychology and Anatomy and Cell Biology, respectively. In 2005 he joined the Behavioral Neuroscience Program within the Department of Psychology at Binghamton University, a doctoral-granting institution of the State University of New York. Throughout this time, Dr. Bishop has focused on pre-clinical models of Parkinson’s disease with particular interest in translational approaches for improved treatment of motor and non-motor symptoms.
The Bishop laboratory has maintained funding through generous public, private and industry grants, leading to numerous peer-reviewed publications over the last several years. Dr. Bishop regularly serves as a panel member and reviewer for several federal and private foundations.
