Colleen Canning, PhD, is emeritus professor of physiotherapy, Faculty of Health Sciences, the University of Sydney. Her research includes investigation of the contribution of motor and cognitive impairments to disability and falls in Parkinson's disease, as well as the effectiveness of interventions designed to improve mobility and decrease falls. Dr. Canning is an internationally recognized expert in physiotherapy for Parkinson's disease. She has authored 67 research papers in peer-reviewed journals, 1 edited book and 9 book chapters. Dr. Canning received a master's degree from Columbia University and a doctorate from the University of Sydney.
