Duong Huynh received his PhD at the University of California, Riverside in biochemistry and neuroscience in 1993. He was then trained as a postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory of Dr. Stefan M. Pulst at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. In 2003, he became assistant professor in residence at the University of California, Los Angeles until he moved to his current position as research associate professor in 2008. His work is centered on the molecular mechanism of neurodegeneration in neurological diseases. Currently, he is focused on the molecular mechanisms of Parkinson’s disease associated proteins’ functions at the synapses, and the development of cell models for in vitro investigation and translational applications.
