Frank Walsh is a senior executive in pharma and biotech with more than 20 years of experience. From 2002 to 2009, he served as executive vice president and head of discovery research worldwide at Wyeth, overseeing more than 1,500 scientists across seven global sites and advancing multiple products to IND and late-stage clinical trials. Prior to Wyeth, he was senior vice president and head of the neurology centre of excellence for drug discovery at GlaxoSmithKline (UK) and vice president and head of neuroscience research at SmithKline Beecham. Before transitioning to industry, Dr. Walsh had a distinguished academic career, authoring more than 200 scientific publications. He was research dean at the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guys and St. Thomas’ Hospitals and the Sir William Dunn Professor of Experimental Pathology. He holds honorary degrees from several universities and is a fellow of King’s College London and the Academy of Medical Sciences.
