Isabelle St-Amour, PhD, is a postdoctoral fellow in Francesca Cicchetti’s laboratory at the CHU de Québec Research Centre. After working for several years as a research assistant in hematology and immunology at the Department of Cellular Engineering of Hema-Québec, Quebec’s blood bank, she undertook her PhD at Université Laval, Québec, Canada. During her doctorate, Dr. St-Amour was involved in pre-clinical studies using immunotherapeutic strategies for the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases. She is now interested in studying the implications of peripheral non cell-autonomous mechanisms in neurodegenerative disease progression.
