Jan Rusz, PhD

Ing (MSc) at Czech Technical University in Prague

Dr. Jan Rusz received his PhD in electrical engineering in 2012 and currently serves as an assistant professor in the Signal Analysis Modelling and Interpretation group at the Czech Technical University in Prague. The theme of his research is multidisciplinary quantitative analysis of complex systems. His primary interests include motor speech disorders in progressive neurodegenerative diseases with additional interests in digital signal processing, movement disorders, neurolinguistics, statistics, machine learning and neurophysiology. Dr. Rusz has authored and co-authored more than 30 technical and clinical international peer-reviewed journal articles. He also currently serves as an associate editor of the Logopedics Phoniatrics Vocology journal and is a member of the SpringerPlus editorial board. His contribution to science was recognized by the European Federation of Neurological Societies with an Investigator Award in Movement Disorders in 2011 and with a Discovery Award from the Czech Republic in 2015.
