Jane Macnaughtan, BMBCh, MA(Hons), PhD, MRCP, is a clinician-scientist at the UCL Institute for Liver and Digestive Health. She undertook her medical training at Cambridge and Oxford universities, completed a PhD at University College London (UCL) and specialist training in Gastroenterology in London.
Dr. Macnaughtan was appointed as Honorary Consultant and Senior Lecturer in 2016 at UCL, where she coordinates a translational clinical research program targeting the microbiome in patients with cirrhosis. She also runs a program of preclinical studies evaluating the role of the gut microbiome in neurodegeneration.
