Dr. Jocelyne Bachevalier received her PhD from the University of Montreal (1981) and became a postdoctoral follow and researcher in the Laboratory of Neuropsychology, NIMH. In 1991, she became an associate and then professor in neurobiology and anatomy at the University of Texas Medical School. In 2004, she joined the Emory Department of Psychology as the Samuel Candler Dobbs Professor of Psychology and was a core scientist and chief of the Division of Developmental and Cognitive Neuroscience at the Emory National Primate Research Center. Her productive multifaceted research has been continuously funded by NIH and is of high relevance for developmental psychopathology and neurological disorders, including autism spectrum disorder, aging, Huntington’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. She is a member-at-large (section psychology) of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Neuroscience Section and serves on the editorial boards of several leading neuroscience journals.
