Director, Translational Sciences at Neumora Therapeutics

Location: Watertown, MA United States

Liam Scott is the director of translational sciences at Neumora Therapeutics, where he develops translational strategies and generates of efficacy and pharmacodynamic data in partnership with external contract research organizations to support Neumora’s discovery and clinical stage programs. Throughout his career at Neumora, Praxis Precision Medicine and Pfizer, he has used both electrophysiological techniques and behavioral assays to support the advancement of multiple novel compounds into clinical development. He has developed neurophysiological biomarkers sensitive to therapeutic intervention that have been used to determine the pharmacodynamic activity of novel compounds in clinical studies. As well as profiling new therapeutics, he was also able to develop novel electrophysiological endophenotypes in preclinical models of Alzheimer’s disease that led to further understanding of the physiology of these models and their relevance to human disease. He has a passion for drug discovery that will have a positive impact on the quality of life of patients.
