Liliana B. Menalled, PhD, received her PhD degree from the University of Buenos Aires in 2003, with a doctoral thesis based on a collaborative project with Dr. Chesselet's lab at UCLA. This project focused in the behavioral and anatomical characterization of novel pre-clinical models of Huntington’s disease. She then continued her work at PsychoGenics Inc., where she is today senior principal scientist. She has behaviorally characterized several pre-clinical models of Huntington’s disease and is an expert in neurodegeneration and behavioral neuroscience. In addition, she has been involved in the pre-clinical evaluation of more than 100 compounds as potential therapies on mouse models of Huntington’s, as well as in target validation activities using genetically modified models.
