Dr. Livia Civitelli is a chemical biologist with extensive experience in the field of neurodegenerative disorders (including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and related synucleinopathies). After several years of postdoctoral experience in the UK and abroad, she has built a repertoire of advanced skills that are applicable to biomarker discovery. These include seed amplification assays and other proteomics analyses of human biofluids and isolated extracellular vesicles and examination of different alpha-synuclein strains by dynamic biochemical and biophysical techniques. She has a solid scientific record with multiple impactful publications and has generated research projects with fruitful collaborations.
