Dr. Luca Gobbi obtained a Diploma Degree in chemistry from the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zürich, Switzerland, where he subsequently earned a PhD in organic chemistry with Professor François Diederich in 2000. After postdoctoral studies with Professor Steven V. Ley in the department of chemistry at the University of Cambridge, UK, in 2001 he joined F. Hoffmann-La Roche Ltd. in the Pharma Research and Early Development unit in Basel, Switzerland. His research interests span from medicinal chemistry to PET tracer discovery, with a focus on novel biomarkers and drugs for monitoring and treating diseases affecting the central nervous system.
