Lucilla Parnetti, MD, PhD, is a docent of neurology at the University of Perugia School of Medicine in Italy. She has wide experience in the field of neurodegenerative disease research, and her activity includes clinical characterization of patients with dementia and research on biomarker discovery and validation. Her main expertise is in the field of cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers for early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases, with special interest in Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Parnetti has worked on national and international projects on the role of lysosome dysfunction in Parkinson’s disease.
