Dr. Manuela Tan is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Department of Neurology, Oslo University Hospital in Oslo, Norway. She joined the lab of Dr. Lasse Pihlstrøm at Oslo University Hospital in November 2020. Her postdoctoral work is focused on using polygenic risk scores in Parkinson’s disease to understand the biological mechanisms of disease progression and for individual risk profiling. She completed her PhD at University College London and has a background in the genetics of Parkinson’s disease. During her PhD, she conducted genome-wide association studies in Parkinson’s disease patients to identify genetic variants associated with disease progression.
