Marleen C. Tjepkema-Cloostermans, PhD, is a technical physician in the neurology department of the Medisch Spectrum Twente hospital and is also part of the scientific staff of the clinical neurophysiology group of the University of Twente. Her two main interests are treatment of patients with movement disorders using deep brain stimulation and neuromonitoring in patients in the ICU or operating theater. Dr. Tjepkema-Cloostermans has published more than 28 peer-reviewed articles. She earned her master's degree in technical medicine (with honors) and her doctorate in EEG monitoring in ICU patients with postanoxic coma at the University of Twente.
