Dr. Hebb is a neurosurgeon-scientist and has an academic interest in the biology and treatment of neurodegenerative disease. Prior to his medical training, Dr. Hebb completed a PhD studying basal ganglia physiology and behavior in models of Parkinson’s disease (PD) and related neurological disorders. During his medical and neurosurgical training, he conducted postdoctoral research in the field of PD. His research efforts have been recognized with numerous honors and awards. A large portion of Dr. Hebb’s current clinical practice is dedicated to the surgical treatment of movement disorders and he works within a multidisciplinary group that provides comprehensive care to patients with PD. Dr. Hebb is an associate scientist with the Lawson Health Sciences Institute, an integrated multidisciplinary organization that provides academic infrastructure and collaborative research networks throughout the University and Hospital systems in London. He is currently the director of the Laboratory of Neuro-oncology and Molecular Neurosciences in the Department of Clinical Neurological Sciences at the University of Western Ontario.
