He spent a majority of is doctoral training as a data analyst at the National Institue on Aging’s Laboratory of Epidemiology, Demography and Biometry, performing his thesis research on topics of quantitative trait association methods and population genetic structure. He then proceeded to continue his post-doctoral training at the National Institute of Aging’s Laboratory of Neurogenetics, under the supervision of Dr. Andrew Singleton. Dr. Nalls’ current research focuses on aspects of population genetics and inherent genetic aspects of population structure associated with neurodegenerative diseases.
