Dr. Neil P. Oxtoby is a research associate at the University College London's Centre for Medical Image Computing and scientific manager for the Progression of Neurodegenerative Disease group (seven researchers). Dr. Oxtoby has broad experience in computer-based mathematical modeling, beginning with his PhD training in theoretical quantum physics at Griffith University in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and continuing through approximately eight years of post-doctoral research in the United Kingdom (quantum information at University of Hertfordshire, plasma physics, filtering and object tracking at University of Liverpool and neurodegenerative disease progression modeling at University College London). Dr. Oxtoby has published approximately 25 peer-reviewed scientific articles and assists with graduate student supervision and undergraduate teaching, regularly attends scientific conferences and is a referee for Physical Review, Human Brain Mapping, Journal of Alzheimer's Disease and Frontiers in Neuroscience. Hid unique combination of state estimation and analysis skills equip him for the task of unraveling the mysteries of neurodegenerative diseases.
