Dr. Eriksson is currently a principal scientist specializing in statistical genetics at the personal genetics company 23andMe, where he studies the genetics of a wide range of complex human traits. He has led research into the 23andMe Parkinson’s disease cohort, which now consists of about 6,000 genotyped PD patients and over 70,000 controls. He received his PhD in mathematics from University of California, Berkeley in 2006 and joined 23andMe in 2008 after postdoctoral positions at Stanford University and the University of Chicago.
