Dr. Fraser is an Associate Professor with the Centre for Research in Neurodegenerative Diseases and the Department of Medical Biophysics at the University of Toronto. He was trained at Children's Hospital in Boston and Harvard Medical School after receiving his doctorate from the University of Toronto. Dr. Fraser has published a number of key articles on amyloid structure and proteolytic processing as well as the associated presenilin family of proteins. He serves as an Executive Editor for the journal Molecular Basis of Disease and serves on editorial boards for the Journal of Biological Chemistry and other scientific journals. His research interests have focused on neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease with an emphasis on the identification and examination of the relevant cellular pathways that might lead to the identification of novel molecular targets and therapeutic approaches
