Dr. Puja Agarwal is a nutrition epidemiologist working at Rush University Medical Center, and her recent work is focused on healthy diets, specific foods and nutrients for brain health and healthy aging. She has extensive research experience with dietary assessment in various population-based studies of different age groups. Her recent published work has been on identifying diet as a modifiable risk factor for development and progression of parkinsonian signs and disabilities. With a family history of Parkinson’s disease, Dr. Agarwal believes that identifying healthy diet as modifiable risk factor for various parkinsonian signs can have a huge public health impact.
