Dr. Johnston received his BSc in pharmacology from the University of Manchester in 1999 and PhD from King’s College London in 2003. He has since worked at University Health Network, Toronto, where his work is focused primarily on the pharmacology of Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Johnston has considerable experience in pre-clinical PD models and the development and translation of novel therapies that are featured in over 35 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Johnston also fulfills a role as Chief Operating Officer of Atuka Inc., a Parkinson’s-focused contract research organization with facilities in Canada and China.
