Learning Objectives

• Define complementary and alternative medicine and integrative medicine.
• Describe the scientific rationale for medical marijuana in Parkinson’s, research findings on Parkinson’s motor and non-motor symptoms, and challenges in medical marijuana research.
• Discuss care considerations around medical marijuana in Parkinson’s.
• Explain the potential role of acupuncture, meditation, reiki and certain forms of exercise in treating Parkinson’s motor and non-motor symptoms.

This educational activity is designed for primary care physicians, family practice physicians, general medicine physicians, geriatricians, general neurologists, movement disorder specialists and any other health care practitioners who manage patients with Parkinson's disease.
