Bryan Tysinger, PhD, is a research assistant professor at the Sol Price School of Public Policy and Director of Health Policy Microsimulation at the Schaeffer Center for Health Policy & Economics at the University of Southern California. Dr. Tysinger’s background in policy analysis and applied mathematics underpins his research on health policy issues. His work focuses on developing and applying data-driven applied mathematical tools to answer policy questions related to health and health-related outcomes. Previously, he spent seven years developing dynamic microsimulation models. His work includes extending the future elderly model (FEM) and leading the development of the “future adult model” for analyzing health and economic impacts. Dr. Tysinger has fostered the development of FEM models for various countries and contributed to significant reports by the National Academy of Sciences.
