Lynn Rochester is professor of human movement science and co-ordinates a major international research consortium developing digital mobility biomarkers. The Mobilise-D project, which connects digital mobility assessment to clinical outcomes for regulatory and clinical endorsement, is funded by the European Innovative Medicines Initiative 2 Joint Undertaking, and it aims to revolutionize assessment of mobility loss using digital technology – and by doing so - lead to enhanced clinical trials and clinical management of mobility. Dr. Rochester has expertise on the motor and non-motor mechanisms of gait and falls, surrogate markers of disease and disease progression (in particular cognitive decline and falls risk), development and evaluation of novel interventions and technological applications in healthcare using wearable sensors.
