Marjan Faber was trained as a human movement scientist. In 2001, she obtained her PhD in veterinary medicine based on a thesis entitle "Kinematics of the equine spine." Since 2005, she has been a senior research fellow at the Radboud University Medical Center Department of Neurology in the Netherlands. Her research aims to develop and evaluate approaches that support engagement of people with Parkinson's disease. A large strand of her research focuses on remote monitoring systems to promote person-centered care, support self-management and generate input for decision support systems.
