Dr. Ellis co-founded Koneksa Health in 2015 along with Matt Cantor and Chris Benko. He started as chief technology officer and, in 2019, he became head of data science. He has a PhD in physics with a focus on numerical modeling. Most of his career he has spent building systems, analyzing data and managing programs. In 2018, Koneksa Health began a research program in Parkinson’s disease (PD). This work has now expanded to multiple sclerosis and other disorders of the central nervous system. His family was personally impacted by PD through his father, who died six years ago from the disease. His passion and motivation in life is to apply his skills to help find new ways to measure and analyze data for the betterment of the study of health.
