Rodolfo Savica is a professor of neurology and epidemiology at Mayo Clinic. He has expertise in both movement disorders and behavioral neurology and extensive experience, as a clinical researcher, examining epidemiology studies, risk factors, biomarkers and environmental agents associated with neurodegenerative diseases, in particular Parkinson’s disease (PD) and synucleinopathies. In his clinical practice, Dr. Savica leads the Early Onset Parkinson Disease Clinic at Mayo Clinic and is the chair of the Task Force on Early Onset Parkinson Disease of the International Movement Disorders Society and section head of neuroepidemiology at the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Savica primarily sees individuals with PD, DLB and dementia.
