Todd Eliot Golde, MD, PhD, is a professor of neuroscience at the University of Florida, where he directs the Center for Translational Research in Neurodegenerative Disease. Dr. Golde received his PhD (1991) and MD (1994) from Case Western Reserve University. He completed his residency at University of Pennsylvania Hospital in 1996, where he served as chief resident. After beginning his independent career as assistant professor of pathology at the University of Pennsylvania (1996-1997), he moved to Mayo Clinic in Florida where he rose from assistant professor of pharmacology to both professor of neuroscience and chair of Mayo Clinic’s Department of Neuroscience (2003-2009). Dr. Golde has published more than 130 peer-reviewed manuscripts, which have been cited more than 1,100 times, with nine cited as milestone papers. Dr. Golde is well known for his translational research in Alzheimer’s disease, and his scientific honors include the Paul Beeson Faculty Award, a Zenith Award and the MetLife Foundation Award for Medical Research.
